California Academy of Sciences - Renzo Piano Building Workshop

I was just chosen to be featured in the Architectural Photographer's Showcase of the McGraw Hill Construction Community website by the editors of Architectural Record for photographs I submitted to them of the new California Academy of Science building opening soon in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.

This building utilizes a living roof that is irrigated with an efficient drip watering system and also incorporates solar voltaic panels which generate and store much of the building's energy supply. This building was redesigned by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop and is scheduled to open to the public this fall.
